Health Tip of the Day

A recent study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association by the American Lung Association found that higher blood levels of Vitamin B6 may help reduce the risk of lung cancer by as much as 50%.  The study of 400,000 participants found that among smokers, non-smokers and past-smokers alike the higher the B6, the lower the incidence of cancer. B6 is found in bananas, avocado, beans, spinach, meats and poultry.  To minimize cancer risk, consume B6 foods daily, or supplement with a B-complex vitamin.
